What is online check-in and how does it work?
Online check-in means the guest enters their own details in advance — in a web form on their own phone, instead of dictating them on arrival. You receive complete, legible data before the guest shows up, and you never retype it anywhere.
In Hostivio the check-in form also feeds your legal obligations: a single submission keeps the guest register (domovní kniha), prepares foreign guest reporting and calculates the local accommodation fee.

The check-in form sits in front of no paywall in Hostivio — you get it on the free plan. And the free plan is not a 14-day trial: it runs with no time limit and asks for no credit card. If you run one apartment and a handful of guests a month, it can stay your permanent setup.

The guest fills it in on their phone
The form opens in the browser. They enter name, date of birth, nationality, ID document and dates of stay.
Optionally they scan their ID
On the Business plan the guest can scan a passport or ID card instead of typing, and the details fill in automatically.
The data is ready in Hostivio
The guest register keeps itself, foreigner reporting is ready to submit and the local fee is calculated per the municipality's decree.
