ID scanning lets a guest complete the check-in form in seconds — instead of typing everything by hand, they point their camera at a passport or ID card. Hostivio reads the machine-readable zone (MRZ) or uses OCR and pre-fills the details automatically. The whole scan runs on the guest's own device, so the image of the document is never sent anywhere.
